Abstract
The tendencies of cooperative movement development and the structure of cooperative organizations according to the types of economic activity in the world have been defined. The European regional policy experience was analyzed, according to which the cooperatives provided income and employment of rural population in remote areas, supported public ideas,participated in the development of human capital and environmental protection. The characteristics of the three major European cooperatives have been described.

Визначено тенденції розвитку кооперативного руху та структуру кооперативних організацій за видами економічної діяльності у світі. Проаналізовано європейський досвід регіональної політики, відповідно до якого кооперативи забезпечують доходи та зайнятість сільського населення у віддалених районах, підтримують громадські ідеї, беруть участь у розвитку людського капіталу та охороні навколишнього середовища. Наведено характеристику діяльності трьох великих кооперативів Європи.
