Empirical Study of Convergent-Divergent Trends in Innovation EU Countries Development
(Polissia National University, 2021) Liudmyla Smoliy; Alina Burliai; Inna Novak; Alla Revutska; Nina Pitel; Смолій Л.В.
The article is devoted to the problem of disproportionate innovation development in the European Union and the impact of these processes on economic growth. The aim of the work is an empirical study of the unevenness and asymmetry of innovation spending in the EU and analysis of convergent-divergent trends in this area. The results of recent research show a desire to strengthen cooperation in the field of innovation, which changes the situation in a positive direction and proves the signs of convergence of innovation, and they are most pronounced in the least developed regions of Europe. The urgency of solving this scientific problem is that the internal convergence of the European Union in the field of policy to support research, development and innovation is one of the strategic goals of the association. Models based on the concept of convergence have become a methodological tool for determining the asymmetry of development. The study was conducted on the basis of analysis of statistical data of 28 European Union countries for the period 2008-2019. The article presents the results of an empirical analysis of the asymmetry of innovative development of EU countries in terms of research and development. It is established that there is a shift towards increasing the share of R&D expenditures in GDP. Convergent tendencies in terms of development asymmetry, σ-convergence and β-convergence are revealed. The study empirically confirms and theoretically proves that the reduction of differentiation and convergence of countries is manifested in increased funding for innovation in countries lagging behind in these parameters. The practical significance of the results of the study lies in the possibility of their use to assess the effectiveness of innovation policy in the European Union

USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TOOLS BY MANAGERS TO PREVENT CRISIS SITUATIONS
(Springer, Cham, 2024) Kristina Sukhetska; Nataliia Verniuk; Anastasiia Movchaniuk; Ljudmila Aleshkina; Nina Pitel; Maryna Gomeniuk; Nadia Reznik
The article deals with the topical issues of using artificial intelligence tools to pre-vent crisis situations. The attention is directed to the theoretical study of the im-portance and significance of the digital tools use, including artificial intelligence, in the enterprise activities. The modernity requires entrepreneurs to implement and use the latest tools and technologies that will contribute to the improvement of the management component, which is primarily related to the prevention and quick resolution of crisis situations. Timely detection of the first signs of a crisis and the search for appropriate solutions ensure the productive and effective func-tioning of enterprises. The article summarizes the main approaches to defining the essence of artificial intelligence as a key direction of scientific and technical development of the 21st century and a tool for economic growth. The main negative aspects that may occur when implementing AI are indicated. It is substantiated that with a correct and balanced approach to the use of this digital tool, enterprises can not only maintain their place in the market, but also strengthen their competitive positions. Taking into account that the focus of the study is on crisis management with the use of AI, the following categories of crises were considered and summarized: sudden crises; preventable crises; exceptional crises. The authors proved that the correct interpretation of these categories will enable enterprises to choose the nec-essary and accurate methods and tools for timely overcoming or prevention. The article presents aspects of digital transformation that show how an enterprise can rebuild its own business model to improve competitiveness: rethinking the work with data, improving external communication, implementing lean produc-tion. The key advantages of the AI implementation in the context of anticipatory management of the enterprise are presented, namely: quick analysis, generalization and verification of information; provision of general reports and statistics; promoting cooperation and coordination between different departments; creation of an operational and effective warning system in advance or at the beginning of a crisis. The article offers recommendations for the effective use of AI in the context of anticipatory management, which will allow enterprises to effectively develop in a changing environment.
